About-Department

  • The department of Arabic language and literature is amongst one of the oldest departments of the sir Sayyed College of arts commerce & science, Aurangabad.

    Department of Arabic was established at the college in 1990 to impart knowledge of Arabic language and literature to the students at U.G level with the objective to inculcate in them a comprehensive understanding of the subject, arabic department started P.G course in 2001, later on the research programme at Ph.D level was started to promote in-depth research in various domains of language, literature, history and culture, the department got the recognition of research centre in Arabic by Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad in the year 2022.
